The Bhagavat Gita, often refered as the Gita, is one phase of the tripod of indian philosophy and culture, the other two phases being the Upanishads and the Brahmasutras.
it is a 700 - verse Hindu Scripture that is part of the Indian epic Mahabharata. It is a conversation between Prince Arjuna and the God Krishna, who serves as his charioteer. The dialogue takes place on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, just before a great war is about to commence.
